A stunning ending to the Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick is brought within the brilliantly written Finale. Finale picks up where Silence (book three) ended, with Nora and Patch coming to terms with Nora’s new Nephilim heritage and now forced to lead her deceased father’s army or she and her mum will die. Now Nora and Patch gather their strength to face one last trial, with old enemies and new are ranged against them standing between them and the peace they desperately crave. The final battle begins and only one race will survive.
Becca Fitzpatrick brings together an enjoyable conclusion with pure awesomeness in her writing and brings two shocking character reveals. Nora’s best friend Vee, has been in the four books, and in Finale readers discover that Vee is keeping a secret herself from Nora. Now I won’t mention what this secret is, incase those of you who read this haven’t read the book, but just to say this shocking discovery about Vee isn’t something I saw coming, but for Nora’s and Vee’s friendship it all makes perfect sense to have it turn out like this. Another character I was surprised by was Detective Basso, a final bit of a twist that Fitzpatrick places in the last few pages, which just made me completly understand Basso’s character on a whole new level and why he’s always been interested in Nora.
As everything the story comes to a conclusion and Finale is an enjoyable conclusion to the story of Nora and Patch. I’m so glad I read this series as it has become one of my most favourites, as it has everything going in it. Paranormal, danger, mystery and of course love, that goes beyond heaven and earth. Take a chance to read it.
