The Maze Runner by James Dashner

The Maze RunnerWhen the doors of the lift crank open, the only thing Thomas can remember is his first name. But he’s not alone. He’s surrounded by boys who welcome him to the Glade, an encampment at the centre of a bizarre and terrible maze. Like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they came to be there, or what’s happened to the world outside. All they know is that every morning when the walls slide back, they will risk everything to find out.

If you enjoyed The Hunger Games, then this book perhaps is the next book to be on your reading list. The story jumps straight away into the mystery and drama, and continues to keep you interested with new reveals and questions at every page. The story itself is thrilling with new adventures and dangerous creatures that leaves you confused and figuring out the puzzle of the maze with the characters as they strive to survive through out the night.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Gone Girl The book that everyone has been talking about. This book was amazing and one of my favourites of the year. It left me thrilled and enticed throughout every page and I could not put down. Flynn writes masterfully and has creative characters that you like for one moment and then the next you don’t. With a plot thick with twists and deceit, and questionable characters, Flynn brings a thriller that you’ll never forget.

Who are you? What have we done to each other?

These are the questions Nick Dunne Finds himself asking on the morning of his fifth wedding anniversary, when his wife Amy suddenly disappears. The police suspect Nick, Amy’s friends reveal that she was afraid of him, that she kept secrets from him. he swears it isn’t true. A police examination of his computer shows strange searches.
