Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick

Sacrifice takes a whole new meaning in the third book in Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush, Hush series, Silence. In the first few pages Patch’s love for Nora knowns no bounds as he tries to make a bargain to get her realised from the capture of Hank Miller aka her biological father whom happens to be a Nephilim – sacrifice of his angel wings. And this only happens in the first few pages, and from there the drama and rollercoaster of twists and turns continue, in this brilliant third book.

The name of the book fits perfectly, as we soon discover that Nora’s memories of everything to do with angels and Nephilim’s are gone, including Patch. However, Nora is not afraid to discover what happened to her during those five months she can’t remember and why does the colour black mean so much to her? As Nora struggles through her haze of amnesia, she slowly begins to put the puzzles together, and discover that her best friend Vee and mum have been keeping things from her. Hurt, confused but with a strong strength to not let her unknown past frighten her, Nora sets out to discover what she has forgotten, if it means walking into danger.

Nora eventually reunites with Patch, as he has been trying to keep away from her. They overcome the secrets and Patch reveals the riddles of her lost memories. Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they’ve worked for and their love forever. But will stopping the villain cause for a larger sacrifice then Nora or Patch ever thought of?

Silence doesn’t disappointed with the fast-paced story and the deepening love between Nora and Patch, their characters having grown in strength, as they struggle to stay together with the odds against them. But ultimately a huge game changer happens changing everything for Nora and Patch.
